It was a beautiful day in Southwest Florida. We began the day with cooler temps and some fog, but as the day progressed the skies cleared up and the temps rose to a very comfortable level. Winter time in this place is acceptable. No snow, no ice, no eskimo suits. However, it does get TOO COLD at times and I'm afraid that by Thursday morning we will have some low 40's and I'm not looking forward to that.
Today I had a couple of very nice gentlemen join me for a full day Everglades Adventure and I thoroughly enjoyed their company!
We were able to take advantage of this beautiful day and we saw a ton of wildlife including a great variety of birds and dozens of alligators and turtles along the river banks and canals.
The water level is dropping rapidly in the glades. I noticed that the water was much lower today then even a week ago. Although it does affect the airboat ride, I have faith that nature will take care of itself and we know we go through phases here in this wilderness and it has survived for millions of years so why would I fret?
Thank you Ed and John for choosing The Best Everglades Adventure! Please check out the Good Time Charters link on the right side of this blog in case you are looking for other adventures in the Ft. Myers Beach area the next time you visit.
Don't forget to share this site with friends and family so they can see how you spent this day while on your vacation.
Enjoy the pics and videos and if you care to share any of your pics with me, John, feel free to email me at kayaksafaris@hotmail.com.
Have a good winter! Gator D is heading to bed to prepare for yet another adventure tomorrow!
