March 16, 2011 "Excellent Adventure!"

It was a typically beautiful day here in Southwest Florida today! When people ask me how the weather is here I always say EXCELLENT because it is 99% of the time! So today was no different. Oh yes, we do occasionally have a bad day here or there, and in rainy season we can count on an hour of heavy rain a day and thank goodness we do! We rely on that rain and welcome it, especially for our wonderful wilderness known as the Everglades!


The alligators were sunning themselves today and the birds were out and about enjoying the breeze and sun too. The airboat ride is getting a little "sloppy" since the water level has dropped but that just makes if for a more incredible adventure!


Thanks to all of you who took this journey with me today and I hope you had a great time. The adventure is a lot what you make of it, and from what I saw, you all made the most of it, even with the delay in traffic getting you back to your vehicles!
