April 20, 2011 "Everglades - WE NEED RAIN!"

Had a great group with me yesterday for a Express trip to the glades for a "muddy" airboat ride! The water level is LOW and certainly makes it a challenge to stay clean while we run around the flats.

We need rain real bad for several reasons to include getting the gators back. The "salt water" seeps in closer to the everglades making the fresh water resources for the gators difficult to find so they have to leave and find a drink. When our rains come back it will flush the salt back to the sea and they will be happy all over the glades.

Even with that however, we still can have fun on the glades and I think everyone did. It is an adventure and it is one of the most unique wildernesses in the world.
