Another Day In Paradise! April 28, 2010

Had a great day in the glades AGAIN! Well, not even sure what a bad day is in the glades. I seem to enjoy it in all cases, rain, cold, hot, buggy, whatever! Yeah I suppose I am a gator land nut! Whatever! We are still at that time of year that the mosquito's are not quite here in the day but come out at night more. So the day is pleasant, still not too hot, some breeze and yes LOT'S OF GATORS!

I had 7 delightful people today, fun and full of laughs which you know I LIKE! I was not able to go out on the airboat ride with them but they seemed to have a fun time. Between the nature drives and holding the gators and birds, the day was full and of course there was lunch in Everglades City and a walk through at the Trading Post on a Shell Mound Island in the waters of the 10,000 Islands.

All in all I would rate the day GREAT! I had to rush home after and take a few folks out for a nice sunset tour on the tour boat! Had a great day! Thanks to all of you who joined me and I hope you enjoy the pictures! Share them with your friends and family if you can. Your safari will be a hit!

Ok folks, Gator D is done with this South Florida Adventure and heading off for another one! See you later ALLIGATOR!

Eagles and Gators! April 21, 2010 Everglades Adventure!

Another day in paradise! Yeah, I know, I seem to have that kind of thing going on here in my South Florida Adventures and I am the first to admit I am spoiled! Well, somebody has to do these jobs! RIGHT?

I guess I'm just lucky!

Today was a great day in the glades and we saw tons of gators around and even heard the big 12 footer "bellowing" and messing around with a little 7 foot lady gator. It is mating time and he, the big ole boy, is in the mood if you know what I am talking about.

We also saw two Bald Eagles while out on our airboat ride and boy were they pretty. We got a good look at the young one who had not yet gotten his mature white head and tail. These guys are huge and can grow almost 4 feet tall. Now that is a bird!

Still not a whole lot of birds around, too much water has fallen in the off season and the bait is not "pooling" up in the shallows like it must. We will be seeing some of the migratorial birds return real soon now that it is getting warmer.

I think you will enjoy the photos of your day and hope you share them with others. I had a good time as always and I am happy to have gotten to know you folks more.

Enjoy!

Well there you have it folks! More memories and more info for you to share with others. I'm glad you stuck with all of my talk today! See, I TOLD you I talk a lot!

For now, Gator D is gonna sign off and prepare himself for another South Florida Adventure tomorrow! You never know where your safari will take you so good preperation is required!

Check out my new LINK to Allurings!

Hey guys, check out the new link to "ALLURINGS". I met these ladies back a couple of years ago when I managed a Ship Store at a local marina and fell in love with their concept for earrings.

I think these things are so cool and these ladies are doing a good job with them. Check them out and be the first in your area to wear "Allurings". They are beautiful pieces of art and primarily are made from FISHING LURE parts! GO FIGURE! Sonja has a few pair and every time she wears them she gets a lot of comments about them.

Well, check out their site and you will have fun seeing what they have to offer.

Gator D signing off for now!
