March 2, 2012 "Fun in the Glades"

Hello All! Another late entry into my blog but the last couple of days have been very busy here in Southwest Florida!

Yesterday, we had the "Relay for Life" fund raiser for the American Cancer Society and what a great day for it. After a morning kayak tour I headed home to get cleaned up and on my bicycle to head to the north end of the island (no car for me this afternoon) and there I met up the the team from Good Time Charters and Flippers of the Bay for many laps of walking and fun hanging with others with the same goal - help cancer victems and find cures to that terrible desease.

So here I am getting this installment completed! I hope you guys enjoyed the airboat ride! I certainly had fun with you and although traffic was messy Im happy we got back when we did.

Thank you for joining us and I hope you have a great stay here in Florida and have a safe journey home. Come back to see us again or join us for a Sunset or Dolphin tour the next time around or maybe a nice kayak paddle in the beautiful Estero Bay!

February 24, 2012 "Everglades fun!"

What a spectacular day in the Everglades! The weather was great, lots of critters out, and a wonderful group of people from all over the place made this day very special!

We started our day with the Swamp Buggy ride followed by a quick stop by the "Smallest Post Office In America" and on to our "Petting ZOO!" where we all had a blast playing with snakes and birds and seeing all kinds of wonderful animals!

After a ride down an alligator infested river we had a great lunch in Everglades City. A brief visit to renew our souls at a museum of the Everglades and then on to the airboat ride!

What a great day with great folks! Thank you all for choosing to be with us today! I truly hope you had a fun day!

February 9, 2012 "Indiana in the Everglades!"

Another wonderful day in the Everglades! It started out overcast and cool but ended up sunny and warm! Can't beat that for a February day! It got into the 80's! I love Southwest Florida!

And I love swamp buggy's, airboats, alligators, birds, saw grass, snakes, scorpions, spiders, and good food! Yep, I do and we experienced ALL OF IT TODAY!

Thank you folks for joining me today and I hope you had just a fraction of the fun I did! I will never get enough of this spectacular wilderness called the Everglades!
