Finally I am able to complete the post that I started two days ago! I apologize to you who waited to see these pictures and videos. Hope you enjoy them. I certainly had a blast with you folks and really enjoyed seeing the kids have fun with the animals!
They say pictures are worth a thousand words but frankly these pics do not portray the fun of real life!
My day in the Everglades, seeing the alligators, the museums, the post office, the birds and other wildlife is always better when I can share it with others! The only regret I had about today is that I ate too much at the Seafood Depot! Felt like a nap after, but its hard to nap at the wheel of the bus!
Please feel free to share this site with others and enjoy some of the other blogs about the Swamp Cabbage Festival and Swamp Buggy Races!
Remember if you should come back to the area again, check out the other activities that we offer at Good Time Charters (see link on right side of page). Also, if you would, take some time to file a comment on "Trip Advisor" about your experience with us today. Other people use it extensively to select their activities when visiting in our our area (and other areas as well). If you have not used it before, check it out before your next trip it can help you spend your vacation dollars wisely!
Ok folks that's all for now! Gator D must move on to yet another adventure! CHOW!

5th Annual Pirate Festival, Ft. Myers Beach!
This past weekend Ft. Myers Beach, FL held the 5th Annual Pirate Festival! Sonja and I spent most of the day wandering around the Times Square area and Old San Carlos Blvd enjoying the sights, sounds and fun of the festival. There were pirates, wenches, lads and lasses, dressed to the hilt in pirate garb, and there were parrots, rats, boats, cannons, swords and guns!
Lots of grog and fun could be found around every corner, and the gun fight between the land lubbers and the pirate ships was marvelous!
Pirates are a strange and wonderful group of folks, even the "theatrical" kind. We have always been into "piratehood" and of course were thrown into the full thrill of it when the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies came out.
I wear a pirate ring and a pirate bracelet and really enjoy the stories and folk lore.
Hope you enjoy the pics and videos of our morning and I have added one from my evening Dolphin/Sunset Cruise which topped off my day.

"10/10/10" Sunday Fun Day!
Hello all and welcome to yet another BEAUTIFUL DAY here in South Florida! Yesterday, October 10, 2010 (10/10/10), I was privileged to have a group of people that were fun and excited to be going to the Everglades with me!
I believe the day turned out wonderful, plus, my wife Sonja was able to ride with me since she has not been working much lately.
The weather was outstanding, the gators were roaming around everywhere and we had such a blast! If you have never been to the Everglades, you are missing a wonderful treat. This diverse eco-environment is unlike any in the entire world and I feel so lucky to have it in my back yard and to be able to share it with hundreds of people each year as they travel to our area seeking adventure!
Today seemed to just be one of those special days that WORKED! I thank all of you who joined me and hope you too had as much fun as I did! Enjoy the pictures and videos and share them with others! It was a treat to have you on my safari!
